كريمة غانية مشهورة تدير احدى الكباريهات وذات ليلة تصدم احد الاطفال بسيارتها ويكون الشاهد الوحيد هو الدكتور احمد عزت الاستاذ بكلية الاداب والذى يشهد ضدها بالمحضر فتبحث كريمة عنه ليغير شهادته الا انه يرفض ولكنها لا تستسلم لرفضه وتلاحقه الى ان تتصاعد الامور الى اعجاب ثم حب ثم قرار الزواج الا ان ابنته الطالبة فى نفس الجامعة وزملائه يحذرونه من هذه الزيجة التى ستدمر حياته للفارق الاجتماعى بينه وبينها فهو دكتور جامعى وهى راقصة الا ان الدكتور احمد يصر على اتمام الزواج فتذهب ابنته لكريمة وتوضح لها مدى دمار الحياة اذا تمت هذه الزيجة خاصتا بعد انعقاد مجلس الجامعة للنظر بهذا الامر فترضخ كريمة لكل هذا حفاظا منها على مستقبل هذه الابنة وتوافق على الخروج من حياتهم وهنا تستقل كريمة سيارتها وهى حزينة بليلة ممطرة وتصتدم بسيارة اخرى لتلقى مصرعها
